Welcome to Reiki Essentials & Wellness

Reiki Essentials & Wellness, LLC. studio and Firefly Gift shop. I am always asked how I started my Reiki journey. After a lifetime of caring for small animals, then friends in distress, and then family members at the end of their life journey, Reiki was the next step in my journey. My Mother-in-Law was diagnosed with various cancers when she told me about a Reiki volunteer giving her a foot massage. I immediately wanted to be the one to be able to do that for her. Unable to do that for my beloved Mother-in-Law, I decided to volunteer for Hospice. I wanted to give back to the Hospice community as they had so generously given to my family with my Maternal Gramma, and again for my Mother-in-Law. Recently, I had a logo designed for the gift shop area in honor of my Momma. I named the gift shop area, Firefly Giftshop in her honor.

Now, about you. Your journey has brought you here for a reason! We are committed to empowering you on your journey. If you have questions about Reiki, Acupressure, the spiritual, the metaphysical, or Love Languages, we can help you. You may come to the Studio looking for answers. Quite often people say they found us "by accident." There are no accidents on your journey. You were brought to Reiki Essentials as an answer to your heart.

Maybe you need answers about your intuition. Maybe you are looking for ways to trust and empower your intuition. We can help you with that Chakra. If you are seeking ways to relax and de-stress, we can assist you with that as well. Stress is responsible for anxieties, obesity, sleepless nights, headaches, muscle tension, heart disease, and more!

If you are interested in an education as a Reiki Practitioner, you've also come to the right place. I have developed a thorough program for my students. If you wish to learn more about this great healing modality and healing system, Reiki Essentials & Wellness might be the place for you. As one of my students and Practitioners, you are nurtured, and encouraged on your journey. My classes are relaxed yet detailed. We take our time, over an entire month, to learn the history, the details and feel the energy. After your certification, your education with Reiki Essentials & Wellness continues through my Practitioner Nurturing program. You will continue to grow spiritually and mentally, having many questions as we continue our journey. We meet regularly with other Reiki Essentials & Wellness Practitioners to learn and encourage one another. No matter what your intentions are for your Reiki journey, you will be supported and nurtured on your journey. If you wish to continue your journey as a Reiki Master, we have a beautiful program for that as well!

Three months

It's been almost three months since I made the big change and found great happiness.

I thought I would miss certain things, but I don't miss much. I have found in my life that when I make a change, I tend to make a clean break. I don't tend to look back. I think that happens to adults that were moved around alot as kids.

I have taken up reading on a device! I don't really want to go back into my lovely library and see anyone. I found another library because I am not ready to see anyone, not ready to cry, not ready to sense any drama.

We get the bills paid. We have extra. It's all about juggling yet, I'm learning to live without an assumed paycheck.

It took me over a week to decompress.

I'm the happiest I've ever been!

Things turn around, things happen, growth happened, humility, a humbling, and now years later - I think this is my joy. My heart is joy-filled.

As I find myself in the last week of employment with my beloved library, I'm a bit scattered and stressed. Stress makes me thristy. I had to redo this particular vlog three times. One time because I sneezed just as I hit record! hahaha I'll add it to a blooper reel!

So, it's Monday. I have off tomorrow, then all that is left is Wednesday and Thursday. I imagine Thursday will be a "wash" so-to-speak and I won't be getting much done.

I had several blessings come through this week that have given me a sense of calm, yet I still wake up at night tossing and turning. In a recent Tarot reading on abundance, the reading addressed blocks I might be holding onto with regards to abundance. One block is all about not being scroogy with my abundance and trusting the process. I'm not sitting back and relaxing in the abundance I'm bringing in. With that comes the Theta Healing that I can do, as well as clearing statements to help me.

It was a good night. I am thankful for the blessings that have been bestowed upon me and for the blessings that the Creator will continue to bestow upon me.

Much needed vacation

Back in May - It was an interesting time off for me. It took me five days to decompress! I guess I need a vacation!

This will be my last paid vacation with the City, at least that I know of. Oh, yes, I submitted my resignation this week too. My favorite job. A really good job. Why? I need to focus on my health. We only get one life. I sometimes felt I was living to work. My jobs all led up to this one. I thought I'd retire at 67 and live happily ever after. Thoughts change. People change. I changed. Covid changed people. My health changed my lifestyle choices - mainly, I want to live my life my own way and be my own boss. So, enough on that!

Happiness! Today is Friday and we are taking a day trip! Us, the Kids, dogs, and lots of snacks!

The Medicine Woman Channeling May 19 2021

After our Shamanic Drum Meditation, we had the opportunity to use the drums ourselves. The following is of one of the participants channeling, what we believe to be, an ancient Medicine Woman. We have never drummed together, some of us not at all - ever! We did not practice. This is a raw recording. Her story. The Medicine Woman. She started out quiet as her host tried to let her voice be heard. Once she was fully vocal, she went through her anguish, her righteous anger over her situation, her crescendo and intensity. Then, she was enmeshed in her healing ceremony, and slowly led us all back to calm. Please forgive the crackly speaker sounds, the drums were a bit much for even my awesome microphone!
