Yuletide Winter Solstice Market

As the days grow longer, we celebrate the coming Winter Solstice. We have three great Yuletide Winter Solstice events coming up, starting with today's event. 

Visit the gift shop to pick up extra items you may want, to make your space cozy. We have a 10%-off sale on many items and 15%-off on shop Krampus items. Or find that unique gift you've been searching for! Frogsworth Creations   and Kosmic Creations by Rachel will be with us today! We will also have a few treats made by Sweet Chatchaya!

Next door in our workshop area we will have several Make & Take options, $13.13 each. All items are meant to help you celebrate the light of the Winter Solstice, Yuletide Joy, and to curate your cozy Hygge spirit! The workshop is set up as an all-day walk-in activity!

So, while the guys run the giftshop today, Tyra will be helping you in the workshop - and the cocoa will be nice and warm!

Hello December!

Oh how I love December!

We decided to be open extra in December and settled on adding the extra hours to the Sundays. Starting December 1st, we will also be open Sundays from 10 to 4pm.

There are few of us small businesses in town that are open on Sundays. It seems the ones that are open are those located on or near the corners of Main & Madison. The cool kids in town! 😉 If you are out and about, please add us to your list of stops to shop our unique inventory!

November, a time for reflection.

I find that November is a wonderful time for rest and reflection.

After putting so much energy into the fun events of October, November feels like my favorite blanket and warm beverage. The best spot on the couch with your favorite fur baby.

We have a few events planned for November in conjunction with Waupun's downtown events. 

However, our main focus is on family,  reflection, relaxation, remembering how wonderful life has been with all of the blessings we have been given. 

You are part of that focus. We are so blessed to have you in our life. Thank you for being such great customers and clients. Some of you have become our dear friends! We treasure you all more than the beautiful gemstones that started the giftshop. We cherish the trust of our clients, like we cherish the memories of our loved ones.

So, as we move through November, take time to breathe and reflect on your blessings. Remember those that you love and those that love you.

A Quiet Moment

October 12th, 2024

There are many things I'd like to accomplish this month. But, self-care wasn't on my list. 

However, here I am in my cozy nook, surrounded by books, rocks, my dogs, blankets and pillows are propped all around me. My little slice of cluttered heaven. 

Wearing my headphones 🎧  I was searching for something to listen to. Something that is in the background and not distracting. Something I don't truly need to give my attention too. I thought maybe water, but after dealing with spring rain water damage at the Reiki Studio, I have a bit of anxiety when I hear water dripping. I'm not into the sounds of tapping and I don't want any talking. After chatting with people daily, I don't want to have to focus on voices during my quiet time. I decided on the sounds of getting a facial.

These next few days of (any) October are filled with the highs of celebration and the lows of grief. Within the same week, we celebrate the anniversary of our lovely shops alongside the memory of my Momma's passing.  Last week, we celebrated hubby's birthday! An up & down time for him as he celebrates, but without either of his parents. 

So, we both take time for self-care. 

The shops are filled with fun and scary items to fit the season. Almost all is for sale. This week was a sale on anything skeleton, bones, and skulls. 💀 

We are also giving complimentary 30-minute, Reiki & Energy healing sessions to anyone who has not had an appointment with us yet.

Coming up in October is another painting night, our Firefly Chat Night - with a soup potluck! We've also been hosting Witchy Wednesdays. These have been super fun evenings filled with laughter, essential oils, candles, pendulums, history & lore, herbs, and salves. We have so much fun, we may continue after October!

I hope you take some time for your own self-care. Remember to drink extra water during this seasonal switch, and drive safe.

Tuesday Evening Tarot Workshops - Once a Month!

We were faced with some tough business decisions these past two months. Things have been tossing around in my head for a bit, but eventually, we made those decisions! One decision was to keep offering the Tarot programming, change, or quit. 

I decided to keep going, but to offer the workshops once a month instead of weekly. I'm not ready to stop teaching Tarot to the masses. I passionately believe in what I do - and I'm good at it! Mom started teaching me "officially" when I was 12 years old. I'm now look at turning 55 years! That's alot of time shuffling and learning. I'm still learning! I love new points of view on the meanings of the cards and I take lots of notes.

We will continue to offer Tarot workshops once a month on the dates listed below. Workshops are still $10, and we will continue to meet at 6pm. It's okay if you arrive a bit late. We are pretty relaxed. 

Tarot readings are by appointment or by walk-in. A Tarot reading with Tyra can take up to an hour if the querent would like, and is $40. 

Bring your own Tarot deck or use a classroom deck, also, bring a notebook if you'd like. We'd love to see you!

Monday Night Meditations - Now once a month!

 Aug. 3, 2024

For awhile, our meditation nights were so full, we had to schedule a second evening. Then, fluctuations in schedules of everyone that attended made us decide to go back down to once a week.

Things change, people move, work schedules interfere with life, and in our case, a person passed over. Attendance was dwindling again. Another decision needed to be made. We chose to keep meditation, but just once a month. 

I really like to take time to quiet my mind and I'm not ready to completely end our meditation programming. However, it is so easy to say, "Oh, I can't tonight, but I can go next week." When next week arrives, so does a distraction. At 9pm, one could say, "Oh, I totally got busy and forgot, but I can go next week." Before you know it, 18-thousand weeks have gone by, and you haven't taken time to quiet your mind at all!

Once a month it is!

Feel free to join us, on the first Monday of the month - (excluding holidays, we will meet the next Monday in those situations.) We still meet at 6pm, and the cost is still $10. We hope you can make one of the dates listed below. We'd love to see you!

Aug. 5th, Sept. 9th, Oct. 7th, Nov. 4th, and Dec. 2nd.

Firefly Chat Night Soup Supper Potlucks!

Our Firefly Chat events are going to get even better! During the cooler months, we will be incorporating a Soup Supper Potluck! We are such a great group of people - I'd love to chat over food with you!

Beginning in September and running at least through December, but probable January & February too, everyone in attendance will need to bring a kettle of soup to share with the group. These will require an RSVP, but will still be free to attend.

Witchy Wednesdays Coming UP!

 Many people ask what I know about witchcraft, Wicca, the occult, mystical arts, the Fae, ghosts, and more. We decided to host workshop times for all of that. There are things I know on a deep level and some things we will learn together!

World Day of Tarot is today! May 25, 2024

I often wonder what my Momma would think of how my small business is doing. I'm sure she would be proud of me. But, on days like today - World Day of Tarot, would she come in and have me read her?! hahaha that would make me nervous. I haven't done a reading for my Mom since I was a teenager!

One thing that I keep repeating is that Tarot layouts do not foretell any specific future events and we cannot summon those that have passed on through the veil.

Oh, but on days like today, I think of my Mom and I wish I could reach her.

World Week of Tarot 2024

The Eve Before An Event

On the eve before events, I take time for a cuppa yummy tea. Time to slow down for just a few moments. Trying to NOT think about being late or rushing. Or, not thinking of all of the many things I want to accomplish before things are going.

It is always smooth. I have a great team.

Right now, I'm in my home Studio. The birds are singing and my tea is cooling slightly. It's a blend I created, although it isn't an original creation. I once tried a cuppa tea and the recipe was a family secret. I asked many questions and drank many cups before I came up with this blend. The breakthrough happened by accident when a tea drinking friend made me an English cuppa! It was breath taking! And, it was the missing flavor I was looking for.

Tonight, the City is hosting a Wine Walk. We are a water stop for everyone. A buck ($1) a bottle! Good deal! We set out cozy seating, candles, and twinkle lights. I love it!

Then, it's hurry up, clean up, and get ready for our Beltane event. If you come dressed in a Star Wars theme, you'll receive a discount!

7th Annual Beltane Celebration

We are excited to host our 7th Annual Beltane Celebration this Saturday, May 4th, from 10 to 4pm. 

We have some new artists showcasing their pop up businesses. We have Cozy & Curious, Kosmic Creations by Rachel, Leaf n' Lizard, Rags and Bones, Té Amo Teas, Sweet Chatchya treats, and Open Heart Reiki; as well as a few regulars that we host.

We have a few workshops running through the day as well. Clearing your Energy, Floral Crown making, Beeswax Candle making, and, Tea workshop by Té Amo. Workshops are $10-15 each.

It will be a long day, but a fun one. There are a bunch of activities to do in Waupun this May 4th weekend.  I hope you find time to spend with us and fun checking out everything there is to do!

Meditation Night

Meditation tonight was fantastic! Nice and quiet, but also, messages were received. For me personally, I was told to not rush and jump into things.
